Hayden Vision fees for LASIK and cataract surgery are simple and straightforward. We believe vision correction pricing should be clear, so you can focus on choosing the vision you’ll have for the rest of your life. Dr. Hayden will recommend the best procedure for you, based on several factors including your lifestyle, and the health of your eyes.
Cataract surgery is an out-patient procedure, covered under Medicare Part B. Medicare will cover 80 percent of the cost of the procedure; your coinsurance may cover part or all of the remaining cost of basic cataract surgery. You will be responsible for any co-pay and deductible as determined by your insurance.
A standard, single-focus lens implant will generally be covered by insurance. If you choose a presbyopic lens implant (for fuller range vision after surgery), or an astigmatism-correcting lens implant (which corrects the cataract and the out-of-round condition of your eye), you will be responsible for the additional cost associated with the vision improvement of these refractive implants.
If you have private insurance, we expect that your health care service plan will pay for cataract surgery, less any deductible or co-pay requirements. Your insurance will cover a traditional monofocal lens implant. If you choose a presbyopic lens implant (for fuller range vision after surgery), or an astigmatism-correcting lens implant (which corrects the cataract and the out-of-round condition of your eye), you will be responsible for the additional cost associated with the vision improvement of these refractive lens implants.
We will discuss Medicare or private insurance coverage during your Lens Evaluation appointment. We understand insurance coverage can sometimes appear confusing, and we are here to help.
